Microsoft Outlook Web Access

Staff and Faculty

You will need to set a password before you can access Microsoft Outlook Web Access.  If you have not already set one, please call the IT Center (815-226-4127).  Your password needs to be at least 8 characters.

Once your password is set, proceed to the "Outlook Web Access" link below the picture.  After you click on the link, a window will popup asking for your username and password.  Your username is first initial full last name.  For example, John Smith would be jsmith  Type in your password and click OK.

Notice:  The mail system is being migrated to Exchange 2003.  During this time, you may be asked to log in twice.  This is only a temporary inconvenience.

Windows XP Users

In certain instances, Microsoft Outlook Web Access will run slowly on Windows XP machines.  If you are experiencing speed issues, do the following to fix the problem:

·         Open up Internet Explorer

·         Click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options...

·         A new windows called Internet Options will open.

·         Click on the Advanced tab along the top.

·         Scroll all the way to the bottom of the settings list.  Uncheck the box next to Enable Integrated Windows Authentication (requires restart).

·         Click OK.

·         Restart your machine.
